You will discover the caldera of Santorini from a different perspective on a traditional Greek boat excursion that combines volcanic landscapes, hot springs, and the peaceful life of an authentic island. This experience will allow you to sail through one of the most unique natural settings in the Aegean Sea and understand the volcanic origin that shaped Santorini.
The day will begin with a cruise to Nea Kameni, a lava islet located in the center of the caldera. Once there, you will take a guided walk along an uphill path until you reach the crater of the still-active volcano. From the top, you will enjoy unique panoramic views over the caldera and the white villages of Santorini, appreciating the contrast between the volcanic landscape and the sea.
Back on the boat, you will continue to Palea Kameni, known for its hot springs. At this point, you will have the opportunity to swim in greenish, sulfurous waters, a natural experience characteristic of the area’s volcanic activity, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.
The final stop will be on the traditional island of Thirassia, where you will have free time. You can relax at the small port, have lunch at a local taverna, or climb up to the village of Manolas, which is reached by a winding staircase, either on foot or by donkey.
