Pedal on the Ancient Appian Way, a 2300 year-old cobblestone Roman road while going past an ancient sepulchre, a Roman statue, the ruins of a circus and an imperial palace, the Christian catacombs and pagan mausoleums; then leave the Ancient Appian Way to head towards the ancient Roman aqueducts rising over the fields on the horizon and follow them on their way back to Rome. Enjoy a ride through the Roman countryside that so well impressed 19th century travellers such as Byron, Goethe and Stendhal.

● Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure time
● Duration: 6 hours (6.5 hours on Wednesdays)
● Distance: 27 km (17 miles), 60% off-road
● Elevation: 200 meters
● Difficulty level: Intermediate. The difficulty level increases to "difficult" for participants with a child seat or child extension attached to their bike
● Includes guided visit to the Catacombs of S. Callisto or S. Sebastiano
● E-bikes are available for children aged 9 and above and taller than 140 cm
● From 2026, children aged 5 to 8 who are under 140 cm tall and weigh more than 22 kg may participate accompanied by an adult using a child extension. Infants from 12 months and weighing less than 22 kg may travel in a child seat
● All scheduled group tours require a minimum of 4 participants to be guaranteed
● Approximately 40% of this tour takes place in the city. We ride carefully selected streets, but some traffic is inevitable to connect the Appian Way Park with the Aqueduct Park. The remaining 60% of the route (riding through parks) is traffic-free
● On Wednesdays (all year), the Appia Plus morning tour lasts 6.5 hours. Also, during the period from January 15 to February 10, 2026, the tour may last up to 6.5 hours
● On Easter Sunday (April 5, 2026), the Catacombs are closed. Therefore, the 6-hour Appian Way tour will NOT operate on that day
● This tour does not include food. However, the morning version of this tour will provide an opportunity for participants to purchase a sandwich or snack along the way (we will stop at a suitable café for this purpose) and consume it during a proper break
● In case of official celebrations or public events in central Rome, the route may change and some highlights may be replaced
