Multi-day horseback journey along beaches, dunes and coastal trails between Agadir and Essaouira, with accommodation, meals and a guide included, designed for intermediate to advanced riders
This horseback journey connects Morocco's Atlantic coast between the Agadir/Taghazout area and Essaouira, passing through Tamri, the Timlalin dunes, Imsouane Bay and the inland hills before reaching the Medina of Essaouira. It includes accommodation, all meals, horses, saddle and helmet, a professional English/French-speaking guide, a support vehicle for luggage, and round-trip airport transfers. It's designed for intermediate to advanced riders, with days of trotting and galloping on open beaches.
Day 1: Arrival, Welcome & Sunset Orientation Ride
Morning / Afternoon: pickup from Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) or your hotel and transfer to the base near Taghazout.
15:00 - Check-in & Orientation: settling into your rooms, meeting the team, and reviewing trail details over traditional Moroccan mint tea.
16:30 - Horse Matching & Assessment: selecting the suitable horse for each rider based on their skill level, weight, and preferences.
17:00 - Sunset Beach Ride (2 Hours): a gentle introductory ride along the beach to get accustomed to your horse and riding equipment, while enjoying the ocean breeze and sunset.
20:00 - Dinner: welcome dinner featuring an authentic Moroccan tagine at the guesthouse.
Day 2: The Adventure Begins — Tamri Estuary to Timlalin Dunes (Overnight Stay in Timlalin)
08:30 - Breakfast: a nourishing breakfast at the guesthouse.
09:30 - Trail Departure from Tamri: transfer to Tamri and begin riding through the famous banana plantations, palm groves, and natural coastal estuary.
13:00 - Beach Picnic Lunch: enjoy a fresh lunch of fish and salads right on the ocean shore.
14:30 - Heading Towards Timlalin: mount your horses and head north toward the magical Timlalin Dunes, where golden sand dunes meet the spray of the Atlantic Ocean.
17:30 - Camp Arrival & Sunset: arrive at the camp/guesthouse among the dunes in Timlalin. Unpack your bags and watch the breathtaking sunset from atop the dunes.
20:00 - Dinner & Stargazing: a bonfire dinner under the Atlantic stars in Timlalin.
Day 3: From Timlalin to Tafedna / Imsouane
08:00 - Sunrise Breakfast: breakfast with a panoramic view of the ocean from the Timlalin dunes.
09:00 - Dune Riding & Beach Gallops: a ride over the golden crests of Timlalin down to the wide, hard-sand beaches to enjoy exciting, fast gallops.
13:00 - Lunch at Imsouane Bay: arrival at Imsouane, the famous surfing and fishing village. Lunch features fresh fish grilled right out of the ocean.
15:00 - Coastal Cliff Trail: a scenic trail ride along the cliffs overlooking Imsouane Bay.
18:00 - Check-in: settling into a coastal guesthouse in Imsouane.
19:30 - Dinner: fresh seafood dinner and relaxation.
Day 4: Argan Trails, Berber Hills & Village Hospitality
08:30 - Breakfast: breakfast with a view overlooking Imsouane Bay.
09:30 - Heading Inland: temporarily leaving the beach behind to explore ancient Argan forests and rolling Berber hills.
13:00 - Local Family Lunch: stopping at a countryside family home for traditional Moroccan mint tea and an authentic, homemade lunch.
15:00 - Mountain Trails: riding through peaceful mountain paths with panoramic views of the Atlantic coast from afar.
17:30 - Arrival at a Rural Riad: check-in at a tranquil countryside Riad nestled among Argan trees.
20:00 - Dinner: Traditional Berber dinner.
Day 5: Sidi Kaouki to the Historic Ramparts of Essaouira
08:30 - Breakfast: breakfast at the Riad.
09:30 - Sidi Kaouki Beach Ride: riding along the endless beach of Sidi Kaouki to enjoy open trots and fast gallops.
13:00 - Beachside Picnic Lunch: a picnic lunch near the historic ruins of the Cap Sim fortress.
14:30 - The Grand Entrance to Essaouira: riding through the wind-sculpted sand dunes of Cap Sim and heading toward the historic ramparts of Essaouira.
17:00 - Arrival & Photo Session: final arrival at Essaouira Beach with a professional sunset photo session with the horses.
20:00 - Farewell Celebration Dinner: a celebratory dinner in a historic Riad inside the ancient Medina of Essaouira to mark the completion of the trail.
Day 6: Medina Exploration & Departure
08:30 - Breakfast: a relaxing breakfast at the Riad in Essaouira.
10:00 - Free Time: optional walking tour through the historic Medina markets, artisan workshops, and the port of Essaouira.
12:00 - Departure & Transfer: private transfer to Essaouira Airport (ESU), Agadir Airport (AGA), or Marrakech Airport (RAK) for departure.
