Full description Enjoy a view of beautiful Rio de Janeiro from the ground before taking the cable car up the mountain for a truly panoramic view of the entire area from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain.

In the morning, while we move along the beaches of the South Zone of Rio to pick up the guests, you will discover the interesting background of the neighborhoods of Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana, discovering many things along the way, such as the origin of their names as well to learn a handful of stories that happened in its streets. You will have the opportunity to learn about the writing of the Girl from Ipanema, learn about the best place to watch the sunset and about the elegant life of the Guinle family, when they used to own the Copacabana Palace.

After picking up all the guests, the group will head to the city center, passing through the enchanting coastline of Botafogo, where you will get your first glimpse of the Sugar Loaf and hear about the fights between the French and the Portuguese when Rio was wild.

You will then pass through the historic neighborhood of Laranjeiras, which is home to the Guanabara Palace. After crossing the Santa Bárbara tunnel, you will take a panoramic tour of downtown Rio, hearing all about the samba culture in Rio, as you pass by the Sambadrome, then we will stop at the Metropolitan Cathedral. In the Cathedral you will have time to admire its unconventional pyramid shape.

After a brief visit to the Cathedral, you will return to the bus and get perspectives of the traditional Plaza Cinelândia with its historical buildings, later you will be taken to the Urca neighborhood where one of the greatest symbols of the city is located: Sugar Loaf.

There, in addition to hearing about the origin of the name of the Sugar Loaf, you can enjoy some of the best views of the city. You will travel to the top in two cable car rides. The first cable car takes you to Cerro Urca, a 215-meter-high viewpoint that already grants beautiful views.

From this stage, a second cable car takes you to the top. When you get there, you will understand why Rio is considered one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. At 395 meters, you will enjoy stunning views.

Explore the Urca and Sugar Loaf hills for about 45 minutes before returning to the bus. You will see all the modern and natural beauties during this tour while thinking about the rich history you have just learned about Rio.
