You will discover the essentials of Santorini in just two days, combining the island’s two most representative experiences. This program will allow you to learn about the volcanic origin of the caldera from the sea and, the next day, explore the main villages, landscapes, and cultural landmarks, achieving a complete and well-balanced view of the destination.
The first day will be devoted to a cruise around the caldera’s volcanic islands. You will set sail for Nea Kameni, where you will take a guided walk along an uphill path to the crater of the still-active volcano, enjoying open views over the caldera for approximately one and a half hours. Next, you will return to the boat to continue to Palea Kameni, where you can swim in the sulfurous hot springs, known for their greenish color and natural properties. The day will conclude with a stop on the traditional island of Thirassia, with free time to stroll around the port, have lunch, or relax by the sea.
On the second day, you will take a panoramic bus tour around the entire island. You will visit the prehistoric archaeological site of Akrotiri, explore the village of Emporio, and have time to swim at Perissa or Perivolos Beach. The itinerary will continue with a tasting of local wines at a renowned winery and a stop at Mount Profitis Ilias, the highest point on Santorini, from where exceptional panoramic views can be enjoyed.
The experience will end in the village of Oia, where you will witness the famous sunset moment, one of the most iconic in the Aegean. By the end of the second day, you will have explored Santorini from different perspectives—volcanic, historical, and scenic—in a program designed to make the most of your time and visit the island’s must-see places.
