Be seduced by the prestige and tradition of the Champagne region on this full-day experience designed to uncover the secrets of the world’s most celebrated wine. Our adventure begins in Reims, from where we will drive into the vineyard landscapes declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Our first stop takes us to the charming village of Hautvillers, the spiritual birthplace of the region, where we will visit the church that serves as the final resting place of the famous monk Dom Pérignon. Here, amidst rolling hills and breathtaking views, we will learn about the unique characteristics of the "terroir" that make this place world-renowned.
The day continues with an exclusive look into the heart of artisanal production at a family-run winery. We will tour their traditional facilities, from the press and tank room to the cool corridors of their cellar, where thousands of bottles slowly mature. After discovering the nuances of their best-selling "cuvées" in a private tasting, we will be welcomed at a Champagne house for a professional introduction to tasting, followed by a traditional lunch paired, of course, with more Champagne. It is the perfect moment to enjoy local gastronomy in an authentic and welcoming atmosphere.
In the afternoon, we return to Reims to visit the iconic Maison Mumm. During the tour of their legendary cellars, we will discover the meticulous winemaking process that defines this historic house and culminate the experience by tasting their emblematic cuvée. After a day full of memorable landscapes, sophisticated flavors, and genuine encounters with producers, your guide will drop you off at the original meeting point, leaving you with a profound knowledge and an unforgettable memory of the Champagne culture.
