Venture into the most important protected natural area on the Argentine Atlantic coast on an excursion focused on Puerto Pirámides, the only inhabited village within the Península Valdés reserve. The journey begins at the Istmo Ameghino Interpretation Center, from whose viewpoint you can simultaneously admire the Nuevo and San José gulfs, observe Bird Island, and understand the unique coastal geography of the peninsula while spotting native wildlife such as guanacos, choiques, and maras along the way.
Upon arriving at the picturesque village of Puerto Pirámides, sheltered in a natural harbor of calm beaches and clear waters surrounded by distinctive geological formations, you will have free time to explore the town at your own pace or have lunch. Depending on the time of year and wildlife distribution, the itinerary is completed by visiting the Punta Pirámide sea lion rookery or passing by El Doradillo beach to spot whales remarkably close to the shore.
Please note that all terrestrial and marine wildlife lives in complete freedom within its natural habitat, so sightings are not guaranteed and the route may be adapted according to weather and road conditions.
