Day trip from Barcelona to Tossa de Mar with an optional guided walk through the Vila Vella and free time to enjoy a beach day on the Costa Brava.
This excursion from Barcelona is designed for those who want to spend a beach day in Tossa de Mar, known as "the pearl of the Costa Brava" for its mix of coves, cliffs, lush vegetation and historical heritage. Transportation is by coach from Barcelona Nord bus station, with commentary from the guide during the journey.
Right on arrival, those who wish can join a guided walk, included in the price, which starts at the beach and follows the walls of the Vila Vella up to the lighthouse, offering wide views of the coastline. The way down goes through the narrow streets and stone houses of the old town, declared a national historic-artistic monument in 1931, to the fishing quarter of Sa Roqueta. From there, the rest of the day is free.
Free time can be spent at any of the three beaches in the town centre: Platja Gran, the largest and most central; Platja de la Mar Menuda, with calmer, shallower waters, where kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear can be rented; and Platja d'es Codolar, a small cove between cliffs next to the Vila Vella. The town also offers sunbed and umbrella rental, Mediterranean restaurants facing the sea or in the old town, and small shops along its typical streets. These services are not included and are paid separately.
At the end of the day, the group returns to Barcelona by coach. An ideal experience for those who want to combine a visit to Tossa de Mar's heritage with a relaxing day by the sea.
