Las Cascadas Perdidas, also known as The Three Waterfalls, are located in the Boquete region, in the province of Chiriquí, Panama, and represent one of the most attractive natural destinations for hiking and nature lovers. This experience takes place within a private nature reserve that borders the Volcán Barú National Park, offering a well-preserved cloud forest environment, lush landscapes, and the cool climate typical of this mountainous area.
The adventure begins with departure from Bajo Boquete and a drive of approximately 20 minutes to the trailhead. Upon arrival, the hike starts along a 3.4-kilometer circuit, which is part of a trail system of nearly 5 kilometers in total. The route runs through dense cloud forest, where the sound of flowing water and rich vegetation create an immersive experience surrounded by nature.
Along the trail, hikers encounter three impressive waterfalls, each with its own unique character and charm. As the route progresses, the level of difficulty increases, with rocky and sometimes slippery terrain that requires good physical condition and proper footwear.
