You will take a day trip from Seoul to the city of Gimpo to visit Aegibong Observatory, also known as Jogang Observatory or Starbucks Observatory. Throughout the tour, you will get closer to an area linked to Korea’s recent history, the border with North Korea, and the landscapes surrounding the Jogang River.
During the journey to the observatory, you will cross a suspension bridge before reaching the visit area. There, you will discover the Peace Eco Exhibition Hall, a space dedicated to peace, ecology, and the future, where you will be able to learn about Korea’s history, the reality of North Korea, and stories linked to the local area.
The experience will continue at Jogang Observatory, a place that has become a very popular point of interest since the opening of a Starbucks inside the observatory. From there, you will be able to enjoy a coffee while contemplating views toward North Korea, in a setting that combines landscape, history, and a different perspective on the Korean Peninsula.
The observatory also has free telescopes that allow you to observe the other side of the border in greater detail. Depending on the conditions of the day and the season, especially during harvest season, it will be possible to distinguish areas and movements on the North Korean side more easily, making this stop an especially meaningful experience.
After the visit, you will continue toward Gimpo Hyundai Premium Outlet, a shopping complex where you will enjoy free time for shopping, restaurants, and leisure spaces. At the end, you will return toward Seoul and the tour will conclude at City Hall, closing a day that will combine history, views toward North Korea, local culture, and shopping time
