Embark on an exceptional journey to the Valdés Peninsula Protected Natural Area, a biodiversity sanctuary declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your adventure will begin in the picturesque ecological village of Puerto Pirámides, the starting point for a thrilling navigation. Here, you will have the opportunity to spot the majestic southern right whale in its natural habitat, a truly unforgettable spectacle of nature.
You will continue the tour exploring the vast Patagonian landscapes of the peninsula. You will admire the Salinas Grande and Chica, Punta Delgada, and the fascinating geological formation of Caleta Valdés. These beaches are home to the impressive southern elephant seals, the largest seal species on the planet. Depending on the season and the behavior of the wildlife, the route can be adapted to visit Punta Norte, thus maximizing observation opportunities.
Throughout the Patagonian steppe, you can observe guanacos, foxes, maras, and rheas in complete freedom. The day concludes with a visit to the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center, ideal for fully understanding the richness of this unique ecosystem. ● Whale watching is a natural phenomenon, and although we head to a conservation area with high probabilities, sightings can never be guaranteed as they depend entirely on the animals' behavior and weather and sea conditions
● Please note the operating seasons: onboard whale watching takes place from mid-June to November. A nautical tour operates from December to the end of March. Between April and mid-June, there will be no navigation
● The duration and schedules of the tour are approximate and depend on the distance from the pick-up point, the order in the route, and traffic circumstances
● The itinerary may be altered due to weather conditions, traffic, city events, road closures, or high crowd levels
● The service ends with the return to the exact initial pick-up/meeting point
