The day begins with an independent departure from Kyoto Station to Kanazawa, starting a cultural excursion through some of the most representative landscapes of traditional Japan. The first stop is Shirakawago, a picturesque village designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its gassho-zukuri houses with steep thatched roofs designed to withstand heavy snowfall. Upon arrival, there is free time for lunch at your own expense and to stroll through the quiet streets, where historic architecture, craft workshops, and a rural atmosphere create a timeless setting.
