Delve into the cultural and natural landscapes of the Lower Chubut River Valley on a comprehensive journey through Patagonian history. The day begins with a photo stop in front of the imposing replica of the world's largest dinosaur on the outskirts of Trelew. Once in the city, you will have the optional possibility of visiting the prestigious Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum to take a journey back in time through its exhibition of Mesozoic Era fossils and the region's first inhabitants.
The itinerary continues toward the picturesque town of Dolavon for a guided walk, visiting the historic La Mercante Regional Museum with its original furnishings and touring a raspberry and strawberry farm alongside its owners, where you may purchase regional jams and craft beer. As an alternative subject to weather conditions, the visit to Dolavon may be replaced by Rawson and Playa Unión for those wishing to optionally take a boat ride for Commerson's dolphin watching.
Finally, you will visit the town of Gaiman, the first municipality in Chubut, renowned for its stone architecture and deep cultural heritage, where you will tour its main highlights and visit a traditional tea house. Please note that admission to the paleontological museum, the dolphin watching boat ride, the Welsh tea service with traditional pastries, and regional purchases are optional and not included, and that during wildlife observation activities the animals are in complete freedom in their natural habitat, so sightings are never guaranteed.
