You will take a tour of Seoul to discover some of its most representative places, combining royal history, Buddhist tradition, cultural heritage, traditional architecture, panoramic views, and local gastronomy. Throughout the experience, you will visit spaces linked to the Joseon dynasty, Korean Buddhism, the country’s everyday life, and the modern image of the capital.
The tour will pass through Gwanghwamun Square, a historic point located in the heart of Seoul and considered a gateway to Korean cultural heritage. From there, you will approach the surroundings of Gyeongbokgung Palace, where you will be able to observe the royal guard changing ceremony and tour one of the most important and beautiful palaces in Korea. Inside, you will discover spaces such as Geunjeongjeon Hall, linked to affairs of state, and Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, formerly used for royal banquets. Please note that on Tuesdays, when Gyeongbokgung and the National Folk Museum are closed, the visit will be replaced by Deoksugung Palace and the Blue House Presidential Museum.
The experience will continue at Jogyesa Temple, the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea and a haven of tranquility in the middle of the urban center. There, you will pass through the symbolic Iljumun Gate, which marks the transition from the everyday world to the sacred space, and you will be able to appreciate the spiritual atmosphere of the temple, its ancient trees, and its golden statues. Afterwards, the tour will pass by the Blue House Presidential Residence, recognized for its characteristic blue roofs and its location next to Mount Bukak.
Next, you will visit the National Folk Museum of Korea, located within the Gyeongbokgung grounds, where you will be able to learn about the everyday life of Koreans through objects, exhibitions, and historical recreations. Later, you will continue toward Namsan Hanok Village, a cultural space with restored traditional Korean houses that show the architecture and lifestyle of different social classes between the 14th and 19th centuries, in contrast with Seoul’s modern landscape.
The day will continue at N Seoul Tower, located on Namsan Mountain, from where you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the city and discover one of the most popular symbols of the Korean capital. To finish, you will visit Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul’s oldest traditional markets, famous for its lively atmosphere, street food stalls, and specialties such as mayak gimbap, tteokbokki, and bindaetteok. At the end, you will take away a complete view of Seoul, bringing together palaces, temples, traditional culture, urban panoramas, and authentic flavors in one same experience.
