This tour explores the legendary Côte de Nuits, birthplace of some of the world's most prestigious Pinot Noir wines, on a half-day small-group tour from Dijon. The route travels through celebrated villages such as Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges, where Grand Cru vineyards stretch across gentle slopes beneath the Vosges foothills.
The meeting point is in central Dijon, where you'll meet your driver-guide and the rest of your small group before boarding an air-conditioned minivan heading toward the Côte de Nuits vineyards. The route follows the famous Route des Grands Crus, passing vineyard-covered slopes, stone walls and iconic "climats", as the guide introduces Burgundy's history, terroir and Pinot Noir traditions.
A panoramic stop is made near Gevrey-Chambertin, with views over Grand Cru parcels, learning how exposure, soil and classification shape some of Burgundy's most celebrated red wines.
The first visit is to a family-run estate, with a tour of the cellars and vineyards. You'll discover vinification methods and oak aging, and taste a selection of Pinot Noir wines with guided commentary.
The second stop is in villages such as Vougeot or Nuits-Saint-Georges, for a second cellar visit and tasting.
