This walking tour combines Dublin's most iconic sights with some of the city's lesser-known corners, led by a local guide who brings to life centuries of history and the stories of the people who shaped the Irish capital.
The route starts on Dame Street and passes through Temple Bar, crosses one of the earliest bridges over the River Liffey and continues through the former Viking and Medieval Quarter, with views of Christ Church Cathedral and Dublin Castle. It then follows side streets and laneways to Grafton Street, passing Powerscourt Townhouse, and ends at College Green, opposite Trinity College and the former Houses of Parliament.
This is an exterior tour: the monuments are seen from the outside and entry to them is not included. As the tour runs in small groups of up to 16 people per guide, it offers a personal and well-rounded introduction to the city.
