A guided walk through the royal gardens and monuments of Kensington Gardens that includes reserved entry to Kensington Palace with an audio guide to explore at your own pace.
Kensington Gardens holds more royal history than any first-time visitor can sort through on their own. This tour combines a guided walk past the park's main monuments with reserved entry to Kensington Palace.
The route begins near the Albert Memorial, the Gothic Revival monument Queen Victoria commissioned in memory of her husband, directly across from the Royal Albert Hall. The guide leads the group past the Diana Memorial Fountain and the Peter Pan statue, passing by the Serpentine Galleries and the Long Water.
The visit continues through the Italian Gardens, a gift from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria carved in Carrara marble and Portland stone, with a stop at the Round Pond. From there, the group reaches the Sunken Garden, turned since 2017 into the White Garden in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, with a statue of her at its center.
The guide brings the group to the entrance of Kensington Palace and hands out an audio guide there to explore the King's and Queen's State Apartments independently, the birthplace of Queen Victoria and home to royals for more than 300 years. Inside the palace there's no guide setting the pace: each visitor moves through the rooms at their own speed.
