Discover the grandeur of the ancient Khmer Empire on this comprehensive two-day private tour of the Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by an official guide in your selected language, you will explore some of Cambodia's most impressive temples while learning about the history, architecture and symbolism of one of Southeast Asia's most fascinating civilizations.
The first day begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Siem Reap and transfer to the official ticket office of the Angkor Archaeological Park, where you will purchase your entrance pass before starting the tour. Your first stop will be the majestic Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest religious monument in the world. After exploring its galleries, courtyards and towers, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the ancient fortified city of Angkor Thom. There you will discover some of its most iconic monuments, including Bayon Temple, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and the remains of the Royal Palace.
On the second day, you will visit the elegant Banteay Srei Temple, renowned for its intricate pink sandstone carvings, followed by Pre Rup, one of the last great Hindu temples built in Angkor. After lunch, you will continue to Ta Prohm, one of the archaeological park's most photographed temples, where enormous tree roots embrace the ancient stone structures, creating a truly unique setting.
To complete the day, you may choose between two alternatives. The first takes you to the floating village of Chong Kneas on Tonlé Sap Lake, where you will discover a community built entirely on the water and learn about the daily lives of its inhabitants. The boat ride through the village must be paid directly at the pier ticket office. The second option includes visits to the temples of Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan, three magnificent examples of Khmer architecture located in the northern area of the archaeological park and far less crowded than the main temples.
If you select the **Angkor Wat Sunrise** option, the second day will begin before dawn so you can witness one of the world's most spectacular sunrises in front of Cambodia's most iconic temple. After enjoying this unforgettable experience and the takeaway breakfast previously requested from your hotel, you will continue with the scheduled itinerary for the day.
