The tour begins by crossing the Friendship Bridge, which connects Brazil and Paraguay, leading to Shopping Paris, the designated meeting point. From there, visitors have five hours of free time to shop, stroll through the busy streets, or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere that makes this border city so special.
Ciudad del Este’s economic activity has drawn communities from around the world. Arabs, Koreans, Chinese, Indians, Pakistanis, Brazilians, and Argentinians have established their businesses here, turning the city into a cosmopolitan hub where dozens of languages are spoken and diverse cultures intertwine.
Among this cultural diversity are the Maka Indians, known for their colorful handicrafts. Their handmade products can be easily found on the sidewalks, offering travelers a genuine encounter with one of Paraguay’s most authentic indigenous traditions.
