This excursion from Barcelona covers some of the most representative towns of the Costa Brava, the stretch of the Girona coastline known for its coves surrounded by pine forests and its old fishing villages. The first stop is Calella de Palafrugell, a seaside village that has kept its white houses and traditional appearance, with free time to explore it and take photos.
From there, the group walks a section of the Camí de Ronda, the old coastal path once used to watch for maritime smuggling, to Llafranc. Here there is free time for lunch, to try the local seafood cuisine or to go for a swim at its beach. Next comes Begur, known for its "indianos" houses, the mansions built by local residents who emigrated to the Americas and returned with a fortune, featuring architecture that blends Mediterranean and Caribbean styles.
The last part of the route is dedicated to Peratallada and Pals, considered among the best-preserved medieval towns in Catalonia. In Peratallada, set on rock and surrounded by a moat carved into it, the group strolls through its narrow streets and discovers its fortification system and castle-palace. In Pals, on top of a hill, visitors walk among round arches, pointed windows and restored stone balconies, below its 12th-century tower, visible from afar. At the end, the group returns to Barcelona. An ideal experience for those who want to combine coastal landscapes with Catalonia's medieval heritage.
