Discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Lantau Island on this small-group guided tour from Hong Kong. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will explore some of the island's most iconic landmarks while learning about its history, traditions and spiritual significance.
The experience includes a visit to the impressive Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha, one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world. Nearby, you will visit the Po Lin Monastery, one of Hong Kong's most important Buddhist centres, where you can enjoy a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
The tour continues to the traditional fishing village of Tai O, famous for its stilt houses and for preserving a way of life that reflects Hong Kong's past. You will also visit the Wisdom Path, a peaceful outdoor trail lined with large wooden steles engraved with ancient Buddhist scriptures, and enjoy free time at Cheung Sha Beach, one of the longest beaches on the island.
You will also stop at Discovery Bay, a modern seaside community known for its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful sea views. During the day, you will ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car (ticket not included), enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the island, the surrounding mountains and the sea.
