Full description
This food and cycling tour through the heart of Singapore will let you discover the country’s multicultural essence in an active and delicious way. Unlike traditional tours that focus mainly on hawker centers, this experience will take you cycling through three of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods: Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam. Along the way, you’ll taste at least nine authentic local delicacies that represent Singapore’s incredible culinary diversity.
During the tour, you’ll visit various food stalls and traditional cafés where you can sample iconic dishes such as chicken rice, kaya toast with eggs, pandan cake, popiah, roti prata, and the refreshing chendol, along with some special surprises prepared just for participants. Each stop reveals how the different cultures that coexist in Singapore have shaped a unique culinary mosaic, where every flavor tells a story.
As you cycle through the colorful central districts, your guide will share insights into the history, architecture, and daily life of each area. In Chinatown, you’ll discover the vibrant atmosphere of local markets and the aromas of traditional cuisine; in Little India, you’ll experience a cultural heritage dating back to the 19th century and its unmistakable spices; and in Kampong Glam, the historic Muslim quarter, you’ll admire 19th-century shophouses converted into textile shops and restaurants serving Malay and fusion dishes.
The route also includes some of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks, such as Merlion Park — the city’s symbol — and the Marina Bay area, offering spectacular views of the Formula 1 circuit and the urban skyline. The experience continues at Lau Pa Sat, on the famous Satay Street, where you’ll enjoy the authentic flavor of grilled satay skewers under the stars, surrounded by the lively atmosphere of Singapore’s most traditional open-air dining scene.
This tour perfectly combines gastronomy, history, and culture, offering a unique perspective of Singapore through its most emblematic flavors and vibrant cityscapes. By the end of the day, you’ll have explored the city’s most authentic corners and enjoyed a truly local experience that reflects the diversity and cosmopolitan spirit that make Singapore an unparalleled destination.
