Full description This food and cycling tour through Katong will allow you to discover a different and authentic side of Singapore, away from traditional tourist routes. Unlike the classic hawker center food tours, this experience combines the pleasure of cycling with the opportunity to taste the most representative local flavors of the Katong district — an area famous for its history, colorful architecture, and rich cultural heritage.

During the ride, you’ll pedal at a relaxed pace between various food stops, visiting some of the most renowned local eateries known for their traditional delicacies. You’ll sample at least eight signature dishes of Singaporean cuisine, including the popular Putu Piring, Katong Laksa, Bak Chang, Hainanese Chicken Rice, and the famous Curry Puff, considered one of the best in the world. Each bite will be an opportunity to experience the essence of Singapore through its most authentic flavors.

Throughout the route, your guide will share insights about the evolution of local cuisine and how the blending of cultures has shaped the city’s culinary identity. You’ll also learn about the Peranakan community, one of Katong’s most iconic cultural groups, known for their unique heritage that fuses Chinese, Malay, and European influences. This cultural context will enrich your experience, helping you understand the close connection between history, society, and cuisine in Singapore.
