The flight operates in the Siena area, where passengers meet the captain and crew, who welcome them with a safety briefing. Those who wish may help inflate the balloon before boarding the basket. Flights take place only during the early morning hours, and the exact time varies according to the season, the temperature and the weather conditions of the day.
Once airborne, the route depends on wind direction, so the exact path is not known in advance and every flight turns out differently. The balloon travels at a varying altitude over the hills of Siena, floating above Tuscan villas, historic castles, vineyards, olive groves and open countryside.
Upon landing, the experience concludes with a Prosecco toast and a picnic-style breakfast with croissants and local products, and the team transfers passengers back to the launch field.
