Cappadocia by Bus Tour - 3 Days / 2 Nights

Day 1,
Night : Transfer from hotel to the bus station in Istanbul for night bus to Cappadocia
Night bus to Cappadocia (takes around 12 hours)

Day 2: Early morning arrive to Cappadocia and transfer to our office for short brief about the tour and after walk trough the “Fairy Chimneys” in Devrent Valley, Pasabag (Monks’) Valley and practice pottery production with the ancient technique in Avanos. Then visit Göreme with its ’open-air museum’ holding the earliest churches and chapels carved in fairy chimneys presenting the finest examples of frescoes. Also, see Pigeon Valley, the petrified valley of Uçhisar with the highest point in the region.
Dinner and overnight at a 4* hotel in Cappadocia

Day 3: Visit to the Hospital Monastery. Walk into the “wonderland” at Kizilçukur (Red Valley) and the Village of Çavusin with rock-cut dwellings. Underground City of Kaymakli, rock-cut city beneath the earth up to 8-9 levels where early Christians used to hide from Roman and Byzantine persecution. Explore the rock formations in Çatalkaya. A fantastic overview of the fairy chimneys from Esentepe.

Day 4
Breakfast at hotel and departure after breakfast to see the world famous Ihlara Valley which descends to the bed of the canyon. Along the way enjoy wonderful natural views.Evening transfer to bus station for Istanbul (takes around 12 hours)

Day 5 Early morning arrive to Istanbul and end of our services

The tour begins at night with departure from Istanbul on an overnight intercity bus bound for Cappadocia, arriving early the following morning to start the first full day of sightseeing together with a professional English-speaking guide.

The first day covers Uçhisar Castle, the highest natural rock formation in Cappadocia, and Esentepe Panorama, with views over Göreme. It continues underground at Kaymaklı Underground City and at Pigeon Valley, known for its thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rock. After lunch at a local restaurant, the visit continues through the Red and Rose Valleys and ends in the village of Çavuşin, with its cave houses and rock-cut churches. At the end of the day, transfer to the hotel, with overnight stay in Cappadocia.

The second day starts with breakfast at the hotel and departure towards Devrent Valley ("Imagination Valley"), Paşabağ Valley (Monks Valley) and the pottery town of Avanos, on the banks of the Kızılırmak River. After lunch, it continues through Love Valley and ends at the Göreme Open Air Museum, with its rock-cut churches decorated with Byzantine frescoes. Second overnight stay in Cappadocia.

The third and final day, after breakfast and check-out, begins with Derinkuyu Underground City, one of the largest and most impressive underground settlements in the region. It continues at Ihlara Valley, with a scenic walk through the canyon along the Melendiz River, among rock-cut churches and vegetation, and goes on to the village of Belisırma, where lunch is served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, the visit continues at Yaprakhisar, with its rock formations and panoramic views, and ends at Selime Monastery, one of the largest rock-cut religious complexes in Cappadocia. At the end of the day, transfer to the bus station for the return to Istanbul on an overnight intercity bus, arriving the following morning.
