On this excursion, you will discover the natural beauty of La Fortuna through an experience that combines adventure, nature, and local culture. After being picked up from your hotel, you will head to Mundo Aventura Park, where the tour begins with a tractor ride that takes you to a panoramic viewpoint. From this point, you can admire the stunning landscape and catch a glimpse of your final destination: the majestic La Fortuna Waterfall.
Next, you will begin a descending walk along a jungle staircase surrounded by lush vegetation. Halfway down, you will cross a high hanging bridge that offers a spectacular view of the canyon formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. The trail continues until you reach the bottom of the canyon, where the impressive La Fortuna Waterfall reveals itself — its walls rising seventy meters high and its waters crashing powerfully onto massive volcanic rocks.
You’ll have time to admire the beauty of the surroundings, breathe the pure rainforest air, and take photos. Those who wish can take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the main pool or simply enjoy the refreshing mist from the waterfall. On the way back up, you’ll visit the small village of the Maleku indigenous people, where you’ll rest for a while in their main Palenque while listening to stories about their culture, art, and ancestral traditions.
To conclude the day, you will enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant. The menu features homemade dishes prepared with fresh, natural ingredients. Next to the restaurant, you can visit a butterfly garden and a small frog pond, completing a day full of connection with Costa Rica’s nature, culture, and hospitality.
