The route continues to the Bastions of Porta Nuova, built in 1837 in neoclassical style, from where the first views of the hills of the Upper Town open up.
Beyond Porta Nuova, you'll discover other iconic landmarks such as the Donizetti Theatre, dedicated to the renowned Bergamo-born composer, and the Torre dei Caduti, a monument built in memory of the fallen, as well as the renovated Piazza Dante, with the Triton Fountain at its centre.
