This full-day tour combines two of Sicily’s most remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites, offering an unforgettable journey through the island’s ancient history. After pickup from your accommodation, travel to Piazza Armerina to explore the extraordinary Roman Villa of Casale, one of the finest examples of a luxurious Roman villa in the world
Dating back to the 4th century AD, the villa was rediscovered in the 20th century and is renowned for its approximately 3500 square meters of exceptionally preserved floor mosaics. These detailed artworks depict mythological scenes, hunting expeditions and daily life during the Roman Empire. The visit is self-guided, with informative panels in each room allowing you to fully appreciate the site at your own pace
After free time for an independent lunch, the tour continues with a scenic drive to Agrigento and the famous Valley of the Temples. This vast archaeological park showcases some of the best-preserved Doric temples of antiquity, including the temples of Hera, Concordia, Hercules and Zeus, reflecting the grandeur of the ancient city of Akragas
At the end of the visit, you will return to Modica after a day dedicated to Sicily’s classical heritage and archaeological treasures.
