Embark on an exclusive private tour of Honolulu and the wonders of Oahu's South Shore. This five-hour trip begins with pickup at your Waikiki hotel, providing an introduction to the most important aspects that make Hawaii a unique place in the world, a volcanic archipelago known for its rich Polynesian culture and endemic biodiversity.
Our first stop will be in the heart of the historic and financial district, where the history of the islands will be our main topic. You will have the opportunity to take photos of the iconic statue of King Kamehameha I, a key figure in the unification of Hawaii, and the Ali‘iolani Hale building (State Supreme Court of Hawaii). We will then cross the street to walk around the vicinity of ‘Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on US soil and a testament to the Hawaiian monarchy. We will see a specimen of the majestic Banyan tree, visit the statue of Queen Lili‘uokalani, the nation's last monarch, the Hawaii State Capitol, famous for its design that evokes a volcano and palm trees, and the statue of Father Damien of Moloka’i.
Our next stop, while delving into other aspects such as nature and society, will be the Tantalus Lookout (depending on weather conditions). From here, you will have the possibility to take beautiful, panoramic photos of the city, the lush Manoa Valley, and the University of Hawaii, nestled in a natural environment that receives high rainfall.
We will then travel to the southern tip of the island to show you some of the natural wonders that make these islands a unique place in the world, formed by millions of years of volcanic activity. We will visit the Hanauma Bay Lookout (subject to state permits and closed on Tuesdays), whose crescent-shaped bay is the crater of an extinct volcano. We will then continue with the Halona Blowhole Lookout, a rock formation that forcefully expels water, its famous Halona Cove beach (the location where an iconic scene from the movie From Here to Eternity in 1953 was filmed) and also the famous Sandy Beach, known for its strong surf.
Our final stop will be at the Makapu'u Lookout, with the opportunity to take spectacular photos of a large part of the eastern coast of O’ahu island, an area characterized by its white sand beaches and turquoise waters.
