You will begin a two-day experience in Sapa focused on ethnic trekking and rural life in the valley, traveling from Hanoi on an overnight sleeper bus and entering landscapes of terraced rice fields. After a short stop on the way, you will arrive in Sapa and transfer by private vehicle to a rural house in Ta Van, a village in the heart of the valley linked to the Black H’Mong minority, where you may rest before beginning the walks.
After regaining your energy, you will take part in the first trek accompanied by an H’Mong guide, walking through rice fields, valley trails, and along the river while getting closer to the daily life of the communities that inhabit these mountains. The route will take you to Lao Chai, where you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and have time to observe the atmosphere of the place and the everyday contact between the H’Mong and Red Dao minorities, before continuing on foot through the valley, passing through the village of Y Linh Ho and returning to Ta Van.
At the end of the route, you will have dinner at the rural house with the rest of the group in a welcoming environment, where you may share stories and rest for the following day. The night in the homestay will allow you to experience a more local rhythm, in a landscape where the activity of the valley shapes the atmosphere from sunrise.
On the second day, you will begin a new trek of between 5 and 7 kilometers, once again walking with an H’Mong guide through higher areas of the valley. After a more demanding initial stretch, you will reach viewpoints from where you will observe the rice terraces from above and, later, you will head toward a hidden waterfall where you may swim if you wish, before returning to Ta Van through a bamboo forest. After lunch, you will say goodbye to the host family, return to Sapa, and begin the journey back to Hanoi by bus.
