Our 1 hour and 15 minute drive will take you through the picturesque countryside to the first destination of the day, the renowned Château de Fontainebleau. A historical gem spanning seven centuries of royal and imperial residence, this castle has witnessed the evolution of history from the 12th century to the reign of Napoleon III. Its architectural style fuses medieval, Renaissance and classical elements, a testament to the influence of various monarchs on its construction. As you immerse yourself in this marvel with the help of a guided tour, you will discover richly furnished rooms and unique treasures, such as the throne of Napoleon I and the famous horseshoe staircase, an architectural jewel that amazes visitors.

This château and its lush gardens were created under the artistic influence of three talented individuals: the landscape architect André Le Nôtre, the architect Louis Le Vau and the painter and decorator Charles Le Brun, all collaborating under the patronage of Nicolas Fouquet, a high French official and superintendent of finance to Louis XIV.
