More than a museum, the Art and History Museum feels more like a homage to all things ancient and unusual. Built as a celebration of Belgium's 50 year independence, featuring 600,000 artifacts and art objects from all over the globe.

The Antiquity wing is currently closed to the public until at least the end of June 2026 due to safety and renovation work on the ceilings and heating. The Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Near East & Iran halls are therefore temporarily inaccessible.
