General Description DAY 1: START OF TRIP / CATANIA
Arrival in Catania and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

DAY 2: CATANIA
Breakfast. The walk to discover Catania will begin in Piazza Stesicoro, home to the 2nd-century Roman amphitheater. Passing along Via Etnea, we will find Via dei Crociferi, one of the most beautiful Baroque streets in Italy, lined with churches, closed to the north by Villa Cerami (today the Faculty of Law) and to the south by the Arch of San Benedetto. We will then arrive at Piazza Università, which presents the imposing Central Palace of the University. The tour continues to Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, famous for the Teatro Massimo. We will also arrive at Piazza Duomo, where we will see "u liotru," the elephant symbol of the city and the Duomo. Passing by the characteristic Pescheria (old fish market), we will head towards Ursino Castle, now home to Catania's Civic Museum. Overnight.

DAY 3: CATANIA – SYRACUSE, ORTIGIA AND NOTO – CATANIA
Breakfast. The tour will begin with a visit to the Neapolis Archaeological Park, which houses most of Syracuse's Greek and Roman monuments. It is the most representative area of this ancient Greek city, with large expanses of greenery and a path traced by the ancient Roman road that leads to the main archaeological monuments: The Greek Theatre, still used for classical music concerts, the Roman Amphitheater, the Latomia of Paradise with the "Ear of Dionysus" and the Cave of the Cordari, the Altar of Hieron, and the church of St. Nicholas of Cordaro. Continuing towards Ortigia, the soul of Syracuse, between Greek temples and Christian churches, Aragonese and Baroque palaces, courtyards, Arab alleys, shops and small squares, we will visit the splendid Fountain of Arethusa and the Duomo Square surrounded by Baroque palaces. Free time for lunch. The afternoon continues with a visit to Noto, a true jewel of Sicilian Baroque and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The center of Noto is a true open-air museum, where it will be incredible to walk along the main street. "Corso Vittorio Emanuele" and admire the numerous palaces and churches nicknamed "the stone garden." Return to Catania. Overnight.

DAY 4: CATANIA – ETNA – TAORMINA – CATANIA
Breakfast. Our tour begins with a discovery of the nature of Mount Etna. Departure for the Sapienza Refuge, making several stops along the way at observation points. The guide will tell you about Etna's history and territory, and you will discover the latest eruptions and the ancient Silvestri Craters. On the way down, we will stop at an organic farm and enjoy a tasting of honey, wines, olive oil, and other local products. We will then continue to Taormina, making a brief stop to view the enchanting "Isla Bella" from above, a Nature Reserve also called the "Pearl of the Ionian Sea" for its wild beauty and connected to the mainland by a thin strip of sand. After lunch (not included in the price), you can spend the afternoon visiting the Picturesque Taormina. Along the main street, Corso Umberto, marked on both sides by Porta Messina and Porta Catania, you will admire the most important monuments: Corvaja Palace; Ancient Theatre*; Piazza IX April; Clock Tower; the Fortress Cathedral (Duomo); Badia Viejs; Duca di San Stefano Palace, and much more. You will also be able to shop in the exclusive shops and characteristic artisanal wine cellars. Return to Catania. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: CATANIA / END OF TRIP
Breakfast. Free time until the shared transfer (without assistance) to the airport for your flight to your destination city
