General Description Day 1 Friday: Naples
Arrival at Naples airport. Group transfer (with other participants) to the hotel. Meet and greet with the rest of the participants. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Saturday: Naples – Matera – Bari
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Matera, internationally known for its "Sassi." The Sassi are original prehistoric (troglodyte) settlements and apparently the first settlements in Italy. They are houses dug into the rock, characteristic of the regions of Basilicata and Puglia. Many of these "houses" are actually just caves, and the streets, in some places, pass through the roofs of other houses. One of the peculiarities of this ancient city is its similarity to the ancient cities near Jerusalem. It has been captured by the eyes of film directors and studios. Matera is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time for a snack and departure for Bari. Free time for a city tour of Bari. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Sunday: Bari – Castel del Monte – Trani – Bari
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Castel del Monte for a visit to the fortress, undoubtedly one of the most popular buildings from the time of Emperor Frederick II. Built around 1240, Castel del Monte became the permanent seat of the court of Frederick Hohenstaufen, ruler of the Kingdom of Sicily at the age of three. The monarch was called "Stupor Mundi" for his vast and comprehensive culture, and he left his mark on his castle with the mystery that surrounded him. Continue to Trani for a visit to this splendid city with its Cathedral overlooking the sea. Lunch at a local restaurant. Free time in Trani before returning to Bari. Overnight stay.

Day 4 Monday: Bari – Polignano a Mare – Alberobello – Lecce
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Polignano a Mare, an old fishing village where the seaside atmosphere still exudes. Its white houses contrast with the blue of the Adriatic Sea, and its numerous cliffs and balconies make this coast a landscape worthy of admiration. Continue to Alberobello and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Alberobello, the city of the trulli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its typical cone-roofed houses used as homes or for storing work tools. Continue to Lecce. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Tuesday: Lecce – Gallipoli – Lecce
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of the city known as the "Florence of the South" and known for its famous Baroque art and architecture developed between the late 16th and the first half of the 17th centuries. Admire the rich and beautiful decoration of the Church of San Oronzo, the Basilica of Santa Croce, and the Celestini Palace. At the corner of San Oronzo, we can admire the 2nd-century Roman amphitheater and the 29-meter-high column of San Oronzo, which has a statue of the saint at its summit. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant where we will taste some of the region's typical products. In the afternoon, we will depart for Gallipoli, a wonderful city surrounded by walls overlooking the sea. Return to Lecce. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Wednesday: Lecce – Ostuni - Bari
Breakfast and in the morning, we will depart for Ostuni, an architectural gem better known as "the white city" for its white walls and typical white architecture. On the way to Bari, we will stop at a Masseria (farmhouse) to enjoy a typical Pugliese meal. Arrival in Bari. Free time. Overnight.

Day 7 Thursday: Bari
Breakfast at the hotel. Group transfer (with other participants) from the hotel to the airport/train station/port or hotel in Bari
