You will take part in a Spanish-language excursion to Ninh Binh to discover one of the most surprising regions in northern Vietnam, where imperial history meets karst landscapes that have earned it the nickname “Ha Long Bay on land.” Throughout the day, you will alternate cultural visits, panoramic viewpoints, and navigation through a natural environment, with a pace designed to make the most of each stop without rushing.
The experience will begin with pick-up from your accommodation in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and transfer to Ninh Binh province. Once there, you will visit Hoa Lu, the ancient imperial capital of Vietnam in the 10th century, and explore the temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasties, understanding how the passage of time and erosion have gradually integrated the ruins into the landscape of mountains and vegetation.
Afterwards, you will continue to Mua Cave, known as the Dancing Cave, where you will climb more than 500 steps to a viewpoint from which you will enjoy wide views over Tam Coc. From the top, you will better understand the strategic importance of this territory and the relationship between geography and the history of the ancient capital, while also having an ideal setting for photographs. Next, you will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant, with typical dishes from Ninh Binh, including specialties made with goat.
In the afternoon, you will head to Bich Dong Pagoda, which you will reach by bicycle or by vehicle if you do not wish to cycle. There, you will visit three small temples integrated into the nature and mountains of Tam Coc, before finishing with a boat ride through the Van Long Nature Reserve, following clear-water meanders among limestone hills and rice fields. In this setting, you will be able to observe the richness of the ecosystem and, with some luck, spot Delacour’s langurs, a critically endangered species, before beginning the return journey to Hanoi.
