Nestled between the White Mountains and the Libyan Sea, this region is renowned for its rugged coastline, dramatic gorges, traditional villages and untamed scenery. For centuries it remained largely isolated and played an important role in the island's history, becoming a symbol of Crete's independent and rebellious spirit.
Your experience begins with hotel pick-up, provided your accommodation is located within a 10 km radius of central Chania. From there, you will travel towards southern Crete accompanied by a Spanish-speaking expert.
At the time of booking, you will choose between two ways of discovering the region. The first combines hiking with free time and includes an approximately 2-hour and 30-minute walk through the Imbros Gorge. The second is designed for those who prefer a more panoramic experience with less walking and includes a scenic drive through the villages and landscapes of southern Crete.
After completing your selected option, the group will continue to Hora Sfakion, where you will board a boat for an approximately 20-minute crossing to Loutro, a picturesque seaside village that can only be reached by boat or on foot.
In Loutro, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the local tavernas, relax on the beach or walk along a section of the E4 hiking trail to the small village of Finix. Later in the afternoon, you will return by boat to Sfakia before travelling back to Chania.

● Guests must be ready at the reception of their accommodation or at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time

● Pick-up and drop-off are included for hotels located within a 10 km radius of central Chania. If your accommodation is outside this area, a nearby meeting point in Chania or close to your hotel will be arranged, provided it is along the tour route

● The activity is operated as a semi-private tour, in groups of up to 8 participants, and may be shared with other guests
● No minimum number of participants is required for the tour to operate
● The tour is conducted exclusively in Spanish
● There is no minimum age to participate; however, Option 1 requires a suitable level of fitness to hike for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes
● At the time of booking, you must select either Option 1 (Imbros Gorge) or Option 2 (Anopolis and Aradena)
● Comfortable clothing and suitable footwear are recommended. You should also bring water, sun protection, swimwear and a towel
● Lunch is not included. During your free time in Loutro, you may have lunch at one of the local cafés or tavernas at your own expense
● The walk to Finix is optional and takes approximately 20 minutes each way
● The boat crossing and itinerary may be modified or cancelled due to weather or sea conditions
● Times are approximate and may vary depending on traffic, sea conditions and the progress of the excursion
● The itinerary may be modified for operational reasons without affecting the main content of the activity
