You will take a full-day excursion from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta, leaving behind the urban pace to enter a landscape of canals, villages, and rural life. Throughout the journey, you will combine navigation, peaceful walks, and a cultural visit, discovering some of the most characteristic settings of southern Vietnam.
The experience will begin with transfer from your hotel in District 1 to the Cai Be area. There, you will board a motorboat to visit local villages and get a closer look at the typical products made in the region. During this stop, you will have time to walk or cycle and enjoy lunch at a traditional Delta restaurant, with flavors linked to Mekong cuisine.
After lunch, you will continue exploring the Mekong River and its tributaries in a rowing boat, traveling through narrow palm-lined canals that define the landscape of this province. This part of the tour will allow you to move at a quieter pace and observe daily life along the water, with scenes of nature and local activity.
To complete the day, you will visit a Cao Dai temple on the outskirts of the Ben Tre area, gaining insight into one of the most distinctive religions born in Vietnam at the beginning of the 20th century. During the visit, you will understand how Cao Dai integrates symbols and figures from different traditions, and you will observe representations that bring together very diverse religious and cultural references, before returning to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
