You will step away from the pace of London for a day to discover two of the United Kingdom’s must-see highlights: Stonehenge and the city of Bath. Throughout the excursion, you will combine ancient history, Georgian architecture, and countryside landscapes, moving from a prehistoric monument to a UNESCO World Heritage city.
In Bath, you will explore a city renowned for its architectural harmony and buildings constructed with the distinctive Bath stone. During your time there, you will stroll through elegant streets and along the banks of the River Avon, cross Pulteney Bridge, and see the Abbey, a landmark of great historical significance at the heart of the city.
You will also take part in a guided walking tour of Bath, where an expert guide will explain the context and evolution of the city, helping you interpret its squares, façades, and the Georgian atmosphere that defines its identity. This walk will allow you to orient yourself and notice details often overlooked when visiting independently.
Later, you will visit the Roman Baths with included admission, exploring the thermal complex and the Pump Rooms, where you may taste the warm mineral water traditionally associated with beneficial properties. To complete the day, you will head to Stonehenge on Salisbury Plain and explore the stone circle with the help of an audio guide, with time to take photos, learn about theories regarding its origins, and visit the exhibition before returning.
