You will take a full-day excursion to discover some of England’s most representative landscapes and historic sites, combining the Cotswolds countryside with medieval castles, literature, and university tradition. Throughout the journey, you will move from rural scenes of gentle hills to cities with centuries of history, with a constant sense of change and discovery.
The day will take you through the Cotswolds, an area known for its natural beauty and its villages built from honey-colored stone. As you travel through this landscape of rolling hills and open valleys, you will see hamlets and small market towns that reflect the most classic image of the English countryside.
Next, you will visit Warwick Castle, a fortress built by William the Conqueror in 1068, where you will step into the medieval world through an especially dynamic experience. During the visit, you will join a guided tour through less common rooms, learn stories and secrets of the castle, and explore spaces such as the Great Hall of State, as well as discover local history in the Warwick dungeons, in a setting that preserves the character of the era.
Later, you will continue to Stratford-upon-Avon, a market town on the River Avon, known as the birthplace and home of William Shakespeare. There you will visit the house where he grew up, observing objects and details that help reconstruct family life and the atmosphere of his time. To finish, you will take a guided walk through Oxford, strolling along cobbled streets and historic corners while admiring the Bodleian Library and the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, before beginning the return journey to London.
