Embark on a 40-kilometer journey from the city of Iguazú to Colonia Wanda, a unique destination located along National Route Nº 12. This picturesque trip will lead you to discover one of the region’s most surprising attractions: the open-pit gemstone deposits, situated on the banks of the majestic Paraná River.
The Wanda mines captivate with their natural wealth, where you can observe agates, quartz, rock crystal, amethysts, and topazes, among other gems that emerge from the earth in their purest state. A fascinating experience that combines geology, history, and beauty in an exceptional natural setting.
The landscape along the way is dominated by vast plantations of pine, yerba mate, and tea, all fundamental pillars of the regional economy. An ideal excursion for those wishing to complement their visit to Iguazú with a different kind of experience, blending nature, tradition, and the unique charm of Wanda’s gemstone mines.

Pick-up is not included for passengers staying at hotels located in Zona de Granja / Barrio Belen / Barrio Santa Rosa / Barrio Orquídeas / outside the hotel area; this service has an additional cost.
Please arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes before the tour departure time.
Waiting tolerance is 5 minutes. After this time, the hotel reception will be notified. If you wish to join the excursion, you must contact the local operator and make your own way to the informed meeting point.
All schedules are approximate and may vary depending on the hotel location, migration procedures, road conditions, or other external factors.
On the day of the excursion, all passengers must present their most recent physical copy of their ID or passport.

The tour of the mine site is highly demanding due to the stairs. Participation is not recommended for people with medical conditions such as back problems, heart issues, or for pregnant women.
