You will take part in a full excursion from Ho Chi Minh City that combines recent history and rural life, visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and later the area of My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Throughout the day, you will travel by vehicle with a Spanish-speaking guide and will also be accompanied by a specialist guide in Cu Chi to gain a deeper understanding of the site’s context.
The experience will begin with the transfer to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground system used during the Vietnam War and linked to operations such as the Tet Offensive. During the visit, you will learn about the strategies, traps, and resources used by the Viet Cong, and you will have the possibility of entering some sections of the tunnels to understand their real dimensions and the conditions in which they were used.
Afterwards, you will continue to My Tho to enter a rural and riverine environment characteristic of the Mekong Delta. In this part of the tour, you will visit a fruit orchard to taste seasonal fruit, discover a bee farm with a honey tea tasting, and stop at a traditional coconut candy workshop, observing artisanal processes linked to local life.
The day will be completed with a traditional lunch and a live local music performance by villagers, before taking a ride in a small boat through narrow canals between delta communities. At the end, you will return to your accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City with a balanced view of history, culture, and nature.
