Mayan Night is an immersive cultural experience that invites you to discover the essence of Mayan culture within a small jungle community that continues to preserve its ancestral traditions. This authentic encounter offers a deep connection with local customs in a natural environment where history, spirituality, and daily life remain closely intertwined.
Throughout the experience, ancient Mayan rituals take center stage, beginning with a traditional Mayan purification ceremony that reflects the spiritual worldview of this civilization. Participants also learn how to play the sea snail shell, an ancestral instrument used in ceremonial contexts, and have the opportunity to meet the Shaman, a central figure in Mayan spiritual life.
One of the most meaningful moments of Mayan Night is entering the Temazcal, an ancient vapor bath deeply rooted in Mayan tradition. This ritual space represents renewal and balance, offering a unique insight into ceremonial practices that have been passed down through generations.
The experience concludes with a typical Mayan dinner shared with a local family from the community. This final moment brings together culture, tradition, and hospitality, making Mayan Night a memorable and genuine way to experience the living heritage of the Mayan jungle.
