Full description Get ready for an unforgettable excursion to Guatapé from Medellín, where you will discover the charming colonial architecture of this picturesque town and the impressive views of the famous Peñol reservoir.

The trip begins by leaving Medellín heading east, on a journey of approximately two and a half hours through the beautiful mountain landscapes of eastern Antioquia. During the trip, we will make a stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast, with varied options, including a vegetarian alternative.

Our first big stop will be the imposing Piedra del Peñol, a gigantic monolith more than 200 meters high. Those who wish can climb its 740 steps and, from the top, delight in a spectacular panoramic view of the Peñol reservoir.

After this adventure, we will take a break for lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you can choose between three options of traditional dishes. Then, the fun continues with a lively party boat ride around the reservoir. For 40 minutes, you will enjoy good music and a festive atmosphere while you contemplate the natural landscapes that surround the place.

Finally, we will explore the charming town of Guatapé on foot. We will walk through its colorful streets, visiting iconic places such as the Nuestra Señora del Carmen parish and the vibrant Plaza de los Zócalos. To close the day, you will have a free hour to continue discovering this magical destination at your own pace.
