Experience a fully guided tour of two of the most historically and politically significant cities in the United States on an intensive 15-hour excursion. The day begins with an early morning departure from Times Square, Manhattan, where your professional, bilingual guide will welcome you before heading first to the current capital, Washington D.C. In D.C., you will visit the impressive Iwo Jima Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial, and get a classic outside view of the White House and the Capitol Building, the seats of the executive and legislative branches. After this part of the tour, you will have free time for lunch.
From Washington, the journey continues to the nation’s first capital: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Here, you will explore the historic Old City neighborhood on a brief walking tour. You will stop to admire the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, the birthplace of the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The tour culminates with an iconic stop at the famous "Rocky Steps" in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a unique experience you cannot miss! Enjoy this opportunity to learn about the history and the most important sites of both cities before returning to New York.
