You will take a walking tour through Venice, from Campo San Gallo to the Rialto Bridge area, combining emblematic monuments, historic squares, and lesser-known corners of the city. Throughout the tour, you will discover Venetian history, architectural beauty, and everyday life in a guided experience that will end with a gondola ride.
The visit will begin in Campo San Gallo, just a few steps from St. Mark’s Square, the monumental heart of Venice. Some of the city’s most recognizable symbols are located there, such as St. Mark’s Basilica, the Campanile, and the Doge’s Palace, reflecting the former splendor of the Serenissima Republic.
From St. Mark’s, you will continue toward Campo Santa Maria Formosa, one of Venice’s most charming squares, surrounded by historic palaces and dominated by its church. The route will continue to Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, a large square dominated by the Basilica of Santi Giovanni e Paolo and the equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni, linked to the city’s political and religious history.
During the walk, you will also be able to discover more discreet corners, such as Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel, a Gothic jewel hidden among the Venetian streets, and Corte Seconda del Milion, a quiet courtyard traditionally connected to the figure of Marco Polo. In this area, you will make a stop at a traditional bacaro to enjoy a spritz, experiencing one of the most representative customs of local life.
The tour will continue toward Riva del Carbon, where a special view of the Rialto Bridge will open up, the oldest and most famous bridge over the Grand Canal. Afterwards, you will return to Campo San Gallo to complete the experience with a gondola ride, sailing along the Grand Canal and secondary canals that offer a different perspective of Venice. At the end, you will take away a complete view of the city, combining history, tradition, hidden corners, and the classic experience of exploring its canals.
