General Description
Day 1 Saturday: Milan
Arrival at Milan airport. Group transfer (with other participants) to the hotel in Milan. Meet and greet with the rest of the participants. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 Sunday: Milan
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will enjoy a half-day panoramic walking tour of Italy's economic capital. The tour will take us to Piazza dei Mercanti where we will admire the medieval heart of the city. La Scala Theatre, built in 1776 and located in Piazza della Scala, is not only a monument, but a true temple of music. We will also visit the majestic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a treasure of 19th-century engineering; more than a building, it is a true symbol of Italian excellence. And last but not least, we will visit the Duomo, the third largest cathedral in Europe. Free lunch. Free afternoon to explore the city on your own or go shopping (one of Milan's main attractions). Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 Monday: Milan – Sirmione (Lake Garda) – Verona – Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Lake Garda, specifically Sirmione: an ancient city full of cobblestone streets and historic monuments. Free time to visit the city or the beautiful Roman villa and/or the Grotte di Catullo. If time permits, you can also choose to visit the Scaligero Castle, a rare example of a medieval fortification on a lake. We will continue to Verona for a panoramic walking tour of the city, known for its famous Arena and for being the birthplace of Romeo and Juliet. Departure for Venice. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 Tuesday: Venice – Murano – Burano – Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will first enjoy a walking tour of the Serenissima: one of the most beautiful cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The historic center of Venice is located in the middle of a lagoon, with a total of 118 small islands separated by canals and connected by pedestrian bridges. We will walk through beautiful monuments (exterior visits) such as the Doge's Palace, the famous Bridge of Sighs, and St. Mark's Basilica (exterior visit), discovering the beauty of Venice. Lunch is free. In the afternoon, we will take an excursion to the lagoon islands of Murano and Burano. From the boat, we will admire the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore, a 16th-century Benedictine church designed by Andrea Palladio and built between 1566 and 1610, the public gardens, the point of Sant'Elena, and the Lido (the famous beach). We will arrive in Murano, known worldwide for its glassmaking industry. The second stop is on the picturesque island of Burano, famous for its brightly painted fishermen's houses. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 Wednesday: Venice – Florence
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Florence. Free lunch. Once in the city, we will enjoy a half-day walking tour. The walking tour begins in Piazza San Firenze, home to the Bargello and the Tribunale Fiorentino, once a church and now the seat of the Court of Florence. We will continue to the Church of Santa Croce, home to many masterpieces and the burial place of some of Italy's most important figures. Next, we will access Piazza Signoria, the heart of Florence since ancient times. It is famous for the Fountain of Neptune, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the beautiful Piazzale degli Uffizi, as well as the famous Ponte Vecchio. Dinner and overnight stay in Florence.
Day 6 Thursday: Florence – Cinque Terre – Pisa – Florence
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will enjoy a wonderful excursion to one of Italy's most famous areas: the Cinque Terre. We will arrive in La Spezia by bus. Here, depending on weather and sea conditions, we will take a boat or train to the Cinque Terre. Depart for Vernazza. Your tour guide will guide you with stunning views over the terraced vineyards and ancient olive groves. Then, depart for the charming town of Monterosso, characterized by its narrow streets and small square overlooking the sea. Return to La Spezia and then to Florence, but first we will stop in Pisa to admire (exterior visits) the famous Pendiente Tower. Arrival in Florence. Dinner and overnight stay.
Part of the trip is by ferry, but if weather and sea conditions (at the discretion of the provider) do not allow boarding, the tour will be by train. Depending on available time, weather conditions, or current tourist flow, the provider guarantees a visit to only one Cinque Terre town: Vernazza or Monterosso.
Day 7 Friday: Florence – Siena – San Gimignano – Chianti – Florence
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the medieval city of Siena. A city tour includes (exterior visits): the cathedral, admiring its unique marble, and Piazza del Campo, the site of the famous Palio di Siena, the horse races held twice a year. Afterwards, we will enjoy some free time to continue exploring Siena independently or for lunch. In the afternoon, depart for the walled city of San Gimignano. We will explore and admire stunning Romanesque and Gothic monuments. Departure for the famous Chianti area, where we will admire the renowned Tuscan countryside. Return to Florence. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 Saturday: Florence – Assisi – Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue to Assisi, a famous pilgrimage site. Today we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Assisi. Overnight stay.

Afterward, we will have some free time to explore the city's historic center on foot, passing through Via del Corso, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. Finally, we will arrive at the Vatican area, where you will be able to hear the Pope perform the Angelus prayer (subject to changes in the Papal agenda). Return to the hotel on your own and the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
