Full description Early in the morning, we'll meet at the designated meeting point to begin an unforgettable journey through the heart of Sicily, traveling to Agrigento to discover the breathtaking Valley of the Temples, one of the most important archaeological complexes in the Mediterranean and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During an approximately two-hour self-guided walk with an audio guide, you can explore legendary temples at your own pace, such as the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hercules, and the Temple of Zeus—structures that tell the story of the grandeur of ancient Akragas. This historic destination, officially founded in 582 BC, was one of the most powerful cities of Magna Graecia and shines with cultural richness and remarkable state of preservation.

In the afternoon, the route continues to Piazza Armerina for a self-guided visit to the extraordinary Roman Villa of Casale, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This impressive archaeological complex dates back to the 4th century AD. It preserves over 3,500 square meters of mosaics depicting mythological scenes, daily life, and spectacles from the Roman era. Considered a prime example of an aristocratic residence of the Roman Empire, the villa offers an enriching tour thanks to its informative panels that allow visitors to understand each of its rooms and artistic details.
