Climb up to the Gate of Heaven at Lempuyang Temple and discover the water gardens of Tirta Gangga, two of the most sacred and photographed spots in eastern Bali.
Lempuyang Temple is one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bali, located on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang in the eastern part of the island. The complex is made up of seven interconnected temples, the best known being Penataran Agung Lempuyang Temple, home to the famous "Gate of Heaven."
To reach this spot, visitors must climb a staircase of around 1,700 steps. It's best to arrive early to get the classic Gate of Heaven photo before the queues form.
After visiting the temple, the tour continues to Tirta Gangga Water Park, a former royal palace built in 1946, famous for its crystal-clear pools, fountains, statues, and Balinese-Chinese architecture. It's an ideal spot for photography and relaxation, with ornamental fish ponds.
