Today, that same palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart of Split. On our guided tour, you will visit the main landmarks, discover hidden treasures known only to locals, and hear fascinating stories from the past and present.

The impressive statue of Gregory of Nin tells the turbulent history of Croatia and its struggle to preserve its language and culture. Do not forget to rub his big toe for good luck! At the Golden Gate, you will learn about Diocletian, a peasant who became emperor, and his monumental project: the Palace of Split. This structure served both as a military fortress and an imperial residence and remains largely intact. The gates had a clever design to trap enemy soldiers, making them easy targets for defenders.
