You will step into the world of The Durrells on a private tour inspired by the ITV series and the real story of the Durrell family in Corfu. Throughout the route, you will combine viewpoints, coastal landscapes, and locations linked to the production, discovering how the island became the backdrop to their experiences.
The experience will begin in Kanoni, one of Corfu’s most iconic panoramic spots. From there you will enjoy views toward Mouse Island and you will be able to see the Strawberry Pink Villa, associated with Gerald Durrell’s first home on the island, in a setting that helps you understand the connection between the landscape and the story.
Afterwards, you will continue to Corfu Town, whose old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you walk along its cobbled alleyways, you will spot filming locations from the series and discover some of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, including the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, in a section that combines urban history with cinematic references.
Next, you will head north to see the Daffodil Yellow Villa and continue to Kalami, where you will reach the famous White House, the seaside retreat where Lawrence Durrell lived and wrote. There you can enjoy a refreshment by the water, take in the peaceful surroundings, and end the experience with the feeling of having visited the places that brought the spirit of the Durrells to life in Corfu.
